Jesus Christ is Durable
Personal circumstances, The three p's
                    People
                    Prayer
                    Perspective
Embrace your impact

All couples fight, healthy couples fight fair unhealthy couples fight to win

The biggest cause of conflicts is our differences,

                   Gender
                   Personality
                   Background
                   Values

Start to value and respect the differences that your spouse has

Philipians 2:4 "Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interest of others."

How to fight fair?
  • Separate to cool off
         1 Peter 5:6-7
Proverbs 29:11 "A fool gives full vent to his anger but a wise person keeps himself under                                               control."

  • Decide that the issue isn't worth the fight
Proverbs 19:11 "A person's wisdom yields patience; it is to one's glory to overlook an offense."
         Matthew 7:3, Proverbs 17:14
  • Change your expectations
          Ephesians 2:10

  • Move toward your spouse with tenderness
         Philipians 2:5-8, Matthew 20:28

Having a healthy family is possible.

Six values every family must have to be healthy

  1. Every family must practice forgiveness
  2. Become healthy yourself
  3. Pay attention to the little things
  4. Affirm the uniqueness in everyone
  5. Protect your marriage at all costs
  6. Put God at center
